1. Who We Are

MOVE (Men of Valor Emerging) is a ministry community app operated by Crosswind Church. If you have questions about this policy, you can reach us at warp005@hotmail.com.

2. What Information We Collect

When you use MOVE, we may collect the following:

• Account information — your name and email address when you register or sign in.
• Profile information — optional details you choose to add, such as a display name, photo, tagline, bio, or favorite Bible verse.
• Prayer requests — the content of any prayer requests you submit, and records of prayers you've prayed for others.
• Learning activity — your progress through lessons and courses, quiz attempts, and written responses.
• Event RSVPs — which events you've signed up for.
• Community activity — your participation in Pods, Showdown votes and comments, and daily check-ins.
• Notification preferences — your in-app and email notification settings.
• Usage data — basic technical data needed to operate and improve the app (such as last-seen timestamps and streak data).

We do not collect precise location data, payment information, or any sensitive personal data beyond what you voluntarily provide.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the MOVE app and its features.
• Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• Personalize your experience (e.g., showing your progress, streaks, and pod activity).
• Support community features like the prayer wall, pods, and showdowns.
• Send you in-app and email notifications (based on your preferences).
• Improve the reliability and functionality of the app.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for commercial purposes, or any purpose unrelated to operating the MOVE community.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Period.

We may share limited data with trusted service providers and platform tools that help us operate the app (such as hosting infrastructure, authentication services, and email delivery). These providers only process your data as needed to support app functionality and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We will not share your data with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to protect the rights and safety of our community.

5. Your Controls

You are in control of your information:

• Update your profile — You can edit your display name, photo, bio, and other profile details at any time from the Profile page.
• Manage notifications — You can adjust your in-app and email notification preferences from Notification Settings in the app.
• Delete your account — You can delete your account directly in the app from your Profile page. See Section 6 for more detail.

6. Account Deletion

You can delete your MOVE account at any time from the Profile page within the app. When you request deletion:

• Your account and personally identifiable information will be removed.
• Some community content (such as prayer requests that others have engaged with) may be anonymized rather than fully deleted in order to preserve community integrity.
• Other account-linked data is deleted when your account is deleted.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove your personally identifiable information. Some anonymized or aggregated content may be retained to maintain community history and integrity.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. While no system is 100% secure, we are committed to handling your information responsibly and in line with standard industry practices.

9. Children's Privacy

MOVE is intended for adult members of the Crosswind Church men's ministry. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted information through the app, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
