Often, we stay silent or play it safe because we’re afraid of the friction that comes with standing for the truth. Amen! What a powerful reminder that faith is not merely believing God can—it is trusting Him enough to obey when He calls us beyond our comfort zone. May the Holy Spirit give us courage to say “yes” to God, step out in faith, and boldly follow wherever He leads. “Here I am, Lord, send me!”

Sometimes the hardest courage isn’t doing something dramatic, it’s choosing to speak up, have the difficult conversation, admit where I need to change, or take a step when staying comfortable would be easier. Prayer should never be our last resort or merely a lifeline in times of crisis. Instead, it should be woven into every moment of our lives, as essential to our spiritual well-being as breathing is to our physical survival. There should be a deep longing to begin each day in conversation with God and a sense of loss at day’s end if we have not spent enough time with Him. When prayer becomes our first priority, the pressures and demands of daily life lose their power to overwhelm us. Time spent with God in the morning either calms the day ahead or prepares us to face whatever storms may come. Prayer anchors the soul, strengthens the heart, and aligns us with God’s presence and purpose. An old commercial slogan said, “Don’t leave home without it.” The same could be said of prayer: “Don’t start your day without it!”

Amen, Pastor Ramon. This is such a good reminder. I know it is easy for me to treat prayer like something I run to when I am overwhelmed, instead of the first place I go before the day even starts. I want prayer to become more of a daily rhythm, not just a crisis response. Even a few minutes in the morning can change the way I carry the rest of the day. “Pray without ceasing” is a challenge I definitely need to keep growing in.

Work is a gift from God and should not be looked at as a burden. From the time of Adam in the garden, which is before the fall, God has given Adam work as a gardener and one who stewards creation. After the fall, man’s view of work changed to one of survival, necessity, ambition, and even in a darker way, to use others and get ahead in a race. Our new life in Christ teaches us to offer up our lives a living sacrifice, that includes our work, desires, aspirations and work for the glory of God.

I try to complete the task at hand before leaving for the day. This ensures that I will know where I need to start the next day. If I work for God and not man, others will notice and ask why my work ethic is the way it is. this can be a door to share my faith.

Romans 14 talks about helping a weak brother in his walk.As men of valor, we should apply the principle of looking out for those who are less mature in the faith. Sometimes, instead of helping the weaker brother grow, the insensitivity of the stronger brother causes him to stumble. Although the context of Romans 14 is in the area of “doubtful things” regarding food that should or should not be eaten, we have to apply grace. We should walk in love and not allow a brother who “Christ died for” (v.15) to stumble. “Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.”(Romans‬ ‭14‬:‭19‬)

Love for others should be the first thing we do. this is the best way to edify them. Part of that love is giving them our full attention by putting away our electronic devices so we can give a proper response if a response is needed. Sometimes they just need someone to listen to them.

Loving your neighbor like your wife is not too hard to do but if she wants unconditional love like Jesus love is different, we are still human and have feelings too !

In the OT, Israel is portrayed as God the Father's bride. In the NT, the Church is Christ's bride. If we treat our marriage vows like this, we will have a much stronger marriage relationship. If I find a female companion who understands the level of commitment marriage vows are, it will make the marriage relationship easier.

This week, we want to be more intentional by slowing down and being present, praying with our families instead of just for them, and letting them see our dependence on God’s Word in everyday life. Leadership at home starts with surrender, when a father is submitted to Christ, his family has something real to follow.
